The piece Kerberos (Hellhound) - Electronic Purgatorium IV belongs to a series of works that Hobell himself described as a text-sound composition. It appeared in 1998 on the album 220 Volt Buddha, issued by the Italian label Alga Marghen as a limited vinyl LP. It was produced by and for Swedish Radio in Stockholm in 1972.

In 1963, Åke Hodell founded the publishing house Kerberos, after which the 15-minute piece is named. The publishing house served, among other things, to publish Hodell's own work, which was not accepted by any of the commercial and established publishers. The poem igewär was the first publication by the publishing house, and a total of 16 publications appeared until 1972.
